November is flying by and the big day is looming large! There are a few special events coming up - Peter Fitzsimons in Yass and Emily Maguire in Goulburn.
It is interesting to see card packs selling steadily, I often hear people say that no-one writes letters or sends cards any more. I guess at some point diaries, calendars and cards will be obsolete, but not for a while yet. The joy of receiving a beautiful card or turning the page of a calendar or diary to see a new piece of artwork is something we all need in our lives.
We are very excited about the release of Molly and Maple - Barbie Robinson's new picture book featuring illustrations by Sara Phemister. Tyger Gallery are hosting an event to celebrate this wonderful book.
Overseas mail
Australia Post cut-off dates for overseas mail fall between 19 November and early December depending on the country.
Our Charity Christmas 10 card packs are great value at $13.99.
We have a full range in the shop and via the Paper Parrot website.
We also have 2025 calendars and diaries, Christmas decorations (felt and bamboo), crackers, wrapping paper and Talking Tables games. I set up a Christmas corner in the shop this week.
Biographies
It is the time of year for biography and memoir releases. They are a great idea for Christmas gifts, with titles for fans of sport, tv and film, music, history, comedy and science.
These are some of the bios and memoir in the shop now:
